Gambrills, Maryland (21054)

Gambrills, Maryland, is located in the middle of a triangle formed by D.C., Baltimore, and Annapolis, between Crofton and Fort Meade. This community is enjoying a new identity as a shopping destination, since The Villages at Waugh Chapel and Waugh Chapel South were built just north of Crofton in recent years.

You’ll find everything from Wegman’s to a multi-theater cinema complex, and nationally known retailers such as Pier One, Marshalls, and Home Goods to fast food eateries and fine restaurants. Gambrills Garden Center is a local business, located on Route 175.

The commercial development has also brought a boom in residential construction, with upscale townhouses , single-family homes, and adult-lving condo complexes to complement the modestly priced older communities. Beacon Hill, the first rental complex in the area, is now renting,

Gambrills is home to School of the Incarnation, which educates K-8 students from six nearby Catholic parishes, and Gambrills children attend one of two public elementary schools – Nantucket, in Crofton, or Four Seasons.

Many people associate this community with nearby Crofton or Odenton but, actually, it’s located between these two adjacent zip codes.  Perhaps the confusion is caused, in part, by the irregular boundary lines of the Gambrills zip code, which literally encircle Crofton.
